ERR News: Greens’ same-sex marriage petition most signed in portal’s history

The Estonian Greens' petition in support of same-sex marriage hosted on the Citizen Initiative Portal rahvaalgatus.ee is the most-signed in the website's history. As of noon on Tuesday, the petition has gathered more than 30,000 signatures.

ERR News: Open Knowledge Estonia to manage koroonakaart website

The non-profit organization MTÜ Open Knowledge Estonia (OKEE) said on Friday it will manage koroonakaart.ee for as long as there is a "social need" after its co-developer stepped back from the website in protest over the coalition's LGBTQ policy.

ERR News: Coalition stance on LGBTQ issues prompts koroonakaart creator to close site

The project manager and co-developer of the volunteer-run koroonakaart.ee website, which has been collating and displaying Estonia's coronavirus data since March, has said he will stop updating the site in protest over the coalition's treatment of LGBTQ people.

Last week, the total number of new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnosed in Estonia was 266, compared to 352 the week before. This is the first time in eight weeks the number of infections has fallen.

ERR News: Belarus sanctions Baltic officials

Belarus said on Tuesday it had sanctioned approximately 100 officials from each Baltic county in retaliation for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania imposing entry bans on Belarusian officials.
